Freddie Ryder, the 'Man of the Moment' at #33, was the Caroline recording engineer responsible for the production of commercials and promos. He took over the job at 6 Chesterfield Gardens from Gerry Duncan. The photo and review of one of Freddie's previous singles, is from Record Mirror. Dated 14 months earlier, July 17 1965, it tells of the unusual method employed for choosing Freddie's name. However, the item does not explain whether the competition was for Caroline listeners, or the staff at Caroline House. Sounds like he had some lucky escapes from terrible monikers!

Freddie passed away in 2021
