Current Knees Club Vice-President Bud Ballou and Club Founder Mary Payne unveil a specially-commissioned statue to commemorate the Knees Club's 40th birthday, January 2006. Although from Radio Caroline, Bud was chosen as our new Vice-President because of his affinitknee with patellae. Living in San Kneeago, he keeps his proudknee on kneesplay all year round. |
Our President is Ray Ennis from the Swinging Blue Jeans, who took over the role from the late TW, handing his Vice-Presidency to Bud. All Radio London DJs were automatically given club membership. Some missed it by joining Radio London after the club closed in 1967, although Ian Damon and Lorne King have been awarded belated membership. Club Officials from 1966 are Mozz Birchell (née Walker), Jenny Royal (née Mance), Lynn Boyd-Leslie (née Belcher) and a recent and welcome addition is Pauline Miller. |

Bumblebees'
Knees
|
Rusty, a former member of Fab 40 group The Foresters (see Fab 40 for 051265), has kindknee allowed us to reproduce his ode to bumblebees' knees. Rusty says he wishes we'd met in the Sixties as he would have loved to have been a KC member. The answer to 'Do bumblebees really have knees?' can be found here! |
