Alan Field's Fab Notes:
Will the REAL Vince Everett please stand up? Vince Everett was originally the name of the character played by Elvis in the film Jailhouse Rock. Not uncoincidentally, it was the name taken by one Marvin Benefield, who recorded some Elvis-type songs for ABC Paramount in the States in the early Sixties. Not to be confused with him though he frequently is is the British Vince Everett who recorded for Fontana in the mid-to-late Sixties and is this week's Fab at #27.
